At PKA Photo & Video, we’re always evolving to bring you more value, clarity, and flexibility. Our updates are designed to enhance both your experience and our service standards.

Starting July 1, 2025, we’re changing how our Signature and Intimate Packages are structured. Here’s what’s changing and how it benefits you:

🎁 Streamlining the Experience: Physical Gifts Now Sold Separately

Previously, our packages included complimentary physical items like albums and USB drives. Moving forward, these keepsakes will be available as optional add-ons instead of bundled inclusions. This change gives you the freedom to customize what you’d like to receive and ensures you’re only paying for what you truly want.

Why Are We Making This Change?

Why don’t we include albums and USB drives in our packages? Because these are considered *tangible goods. Including them directly in the package price may trigger California sales tax (currently 7.75%) on the entire package price — not just the album portion

✨ What’s Replacing Them: A Service-Based Upgrade

We are replacing those former “gifts” with a premium digital editing upgrade, now included for Signature clients.

Above & Beyond Add-On

This advanced service includes:

High-Quality Retouching (HQR) on all included photos
Layer Blending Technology (LBT) and extended Photoshop editing
Editorial-grade enhancements (tone, color, detail, clarity)
Valued at $1,200 when purchased separately

This shift from physical gifts to artistic enhancements means your memories will not only last but will also look their absolute best. This change offers you much higher value and flexibility.

💾 Albums & USB Drives — Still Available Anytime

Want to add a tangible keepsake? You can now purchase albums, USB drives, and other printed products anytime at 👉 www.pkaphoto.com/shop.

Avoid applying sales tax to your full wedding package.
Only the physical product itself will be taxed — not your entire photo and video coverage.
This gives you the freedom to choose the format and timing that works best for you.

🖼️ New Flow for RAW File Delivery

We’re also updating how we share RAW files to improve your overall experience.

For Signature and Intimate (non-Elopement) Packages:

Sneak peeks and fully edited images will be delivered first.
Once you’ve confirmed everything looks great, we’ll release your RAW images (and video footage, if included).
You can choose to receive your files via a free secure download link, or purchase a USB from our store for physical delivery if you request video footage.

This ensures your finished photos arrive beautifully and professionally. You’ll still get full access to every image captured.

Note for Video Footage:

If your package includes video coverage, a USB drive is required to receive your footage. Video files are typically too large to be delivered via download link without heavy compression. Ordering a USB ensures you get your video in full resolution and top quality. You can purchase one anytime at www.pkaphoto.com/shop.

✨ Premium Editing Upgrade — Now Available for Intimate Packages

Take your wedding memories to the next level with our most exclusive creative enhancement. This upgrade is now available for Intimate Package clients — previously only offered in Signature Packages.

Above & Beyond Add-On:

All included retouched images (150–300+) upgraded to our most advanced editing tier.
Includes Layer Blending Technology (LBT) and advanced Photoshop work.
